There was a little boy who was loved by many people. But unfortunately on his back were two long scars which were left after an operation. So many naughty kids always laughed at him when he was bare, especially in PE lessons. Gradually the little boy smiled less and less, and he felt timid, unhappy and self-abased.
One day bullied again, he went back home , crying sadly. After learning about the reason, his mother paid a visit to his head teacher, a graceful young lady the following day. She told her about her beloved son’s story as follows: When the boy was born, he got a very serious illness, for which the doctor advised the parents to give up the hope of raising the poor boy. But the parents didn’t agree. They thought it was too cruel and inhuman to treat a fresh life like that. Due to their insisting, an operation was made on the boy. At last the boy was saved, but two scars were left on his back.
The mother continued the story in tears: In order to make her son happy, the parents were willing to do everything they could. They went through so much hardship to take care of their son. When the mother said to the teacher that the boy was unhappy and gloomy recently, the mother couldn’t help sobbing. Hearing the story, the young lady stood up and tried her best to comfort the sorrowful mother. At the meantime, she thought of a good idea to help the mother and the son.
The next day, when all the kids were having PE lesson on the playground, the young lady went up to the kids. She managed to persuade that boy to take off the shirt. As the shirt was removed , she felt the two scars with her fingers, saying: “It is a miracle!” Other kids got around curiously, the teacher carried on gently: “Do you know, kids? Each of you was an angel before you were born. However, after you came to the world, the angel flew away to the heaven with her pretty wings. But to him,” She touched the two scars softly, looked at other kids kindly and went on, “The angel didn’t take back her wings in time after he was born, so the angel’s wings were left here. You see they are angel’s wings.” On hearing these words, the kids cried out surprisingly, “ I’d like to touch the angel’s wings.” “Wow they are so beautiful.” They remarked sincerely.
From then on, the boy didn’t feel shamed of his scars again, and he got out from the shadow of inferiority, becoming active in everything. He always remembered his teacher’s words: “the scars are angel’s wings”.
